Khaberni - Media reports have stated that Barcelona's desire to sign Manchester City defender Nathan Ake during the upcoming winter transfer window has been met with an insurmountable condition.
According to the newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Nathan Benjamin Ake is one of the names strongly considered in Barcelona’s interests, but securing a deal will not be easy.
The Dutch defender is tied to Manchester City until 2027, and earns a high salary.
It continued: "City prefers to complete the deal through a final sale rather than a loan, and values the player between 15 and20 million euros, which is a complicated operation for Barça given the substantial financial burden of the deal and the salaries."
It emphasized that despite the difficulties, Ake's profile perfectly matches what Barcelona is looking for, being a left-center back with extensive experience and a strong competitive record at the highest levels.
Nathan Ake's playing minutes have declined this season, which makes him open to the idea of moving to a club that ensures him more continuity in play, especially with the upcoming 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
