Deal Enhances Chinese Aviation Fleet CALC Orders 30 A320neo Aircraft from Airbus

Khaberni - The Chinese aircraft leasing company «China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings» (CALC) has placed a firm order for 30 A320neo aircraft, according to what the European aircraft manufacturing group announced on Tuesday.

This deal is the fifth contract CALC has signed with «Airbus», bringing the company's total orders to 282 aircraft, including 203 A320neo models.

According to the "Agence France-Presse", the group explained that the purpose of the new order is to meet the strong and growing demand from its customers in the aircraft leasing market.

The financial value of the deal was not disclosed, as «Airbus» has stopped publishing the official prices of its aircraft since 2018. The thirty aircraft are scheduled to be delivered by 2033, to the company headquartered in Hong Kong.

Mike Poon, the CEO of CALC, stated in a joint statement that «the latest order reflects our shared vision with Airbus in the fields of innovation and sustainable aviation», noting that the new aircraft will support the company's long-term strategy to modernize the fleet and expand the scope of its services.

For his part, Benoit de Saint-Exupery, the Executive Vice President for Commercial Aircraft Sales at «Airbus», considered that «CALC demonstrates profound market knowledge and an understanding of customer needs, which aligns perfectly with the competitive features of the A320neo family».

The A320 aircraft are among the best-selling civil aircraft in the world, with about 19,500 aircraft of this model ordered to date, including more than 7,000 aircraft still under delivery, reflecting the continuous global demand for this category of highly fuel-efficient aircraft.
