The Political Systems Book by AlMashaqbeh Featuring AlAkayleh AlSawair Safouri and AlAdayleh

Khaberni - Published by Al-Hamed for Publishing and Distribution, a new book entitled (Political Systems: British, French, American, Chinese, and Russian) by Professor Dr. Amin Al-Mashaqbeh.

Contributing to the authoring of the book are doctoral candidates in political science at Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah College of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Jordan, namely: Abrar Al-Sawa'ir, Ayman Safouri, Hamza Al-Akayleh, and Bilal Al-Adayleh.

The book spans 254 pages and serves as an important reference for university students studying political systems. It aims to enrich the Arabic library with the latest information on political systems, and it also sheds detailed light on the political regimes of major countries in terms of historical development, origins, mechanics of government operations, and the nature of their interrelations.

The book takes a scholarly pedagogical path, filling a gap in the Jordanian library for books of this specialized nature on global political systems, and it will be a new resource for political science students at Jordanian universities as well as an educational pathway for the public.

The book’s importance stems from the fact that political systems form an essential part of the study of comparative politics, focusing on a political historical study of Western and other global systems. The first chapter covers the general theoretical framework, where concepts, terms, and political foundations upon which political systems are generally built are defined.

The second chapter deals with the British political system in the United Kingdom in terms of the historical sequence of Britain's development through the ages, with a focus on stages of political evolution in five phases, including the current phase, in addition to the British customary constitution that regulates the functioning of the parliamentary system, its characteristics, the sovereignty of Parliament, and the powers of the Commons and Lords.

The third chapter highlights the French political system through a historical overview of the establishment of the five republics, with a focus on the Fifth Republic in terms of presidential leadership, the nature of the existing system, constitutional institutions, political authorities, and French judiciary, as well as historical and social development through multiple phases.

The fourth chapter provides a detailed look at the American political system, the stages of historical, political, and social development of the United States, through studying the constitution, the amendments made to it, the political authorities and their functions, in addition to political life, party roles in political life, and the impact of lobby groups on the performance of the political system.

The fifth chapter focuses on the political system in China (People's Republic of China) in terms of its origins, political history, the constitution, the nature of executive, legislative, and judicial authorities, and the role of the Communist Party in public political life.

The sixth chapter discusses the nature of the political system in the Russian Federation following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the nature of the constitution, the essential authorities, and the role of parties in political life.

In the introduction by Dr. Al-Mashaqbeh: "This effort is a collaborative work between me and a group of doctoral students in political science at Prince Hussein College for Political Science and International Studies, aiming to highlight the importance of collaborative work based on research, study, guidance, and training in rigorous scientific research, and to inform the public and private sectors about the nature of global political systems, and to enrich the Arabic library with the latest information about these systems".
