Khaberni - Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, imprisoned for 26 years, has called on Ankara to facilitate an agreement between Damascus and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Turkish Peoples' Democratic Party conveyed the written message dated December 30, where Öcalan emphasized Turkey's facilitative role in dialogue to enhance regional and internal peace.
Öcalan's call followed the confirmation by SDF commander Mazloum Abdi of his commitment to integrate his forces into Syrian state institutions during a call with US envoy Thomas Barrack, along with the announcement of an anticipated visit to Damascus that was postponed for technical reasons.
