UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs We express our regret over the inaccuracies in the Saudi statement

Khaberni - The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Tuesday its categorical rejection of any involvement of the UAE in the ongoing tensions between Yemeni parties, expressing its regret over the inaccuracies in the Saudi statement.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in its statement that "the UAE expresses its regret for what was mentioned in the brotherly Saudi statement and the substantial inaccuracies it included," and we categorically reject the involvement of the UAE in the ongoing tensions between the Yemeni parties."

It added: "We denounce the allegations about directing any Yemeni party to carry out military operations that affect the security of brotherly Saudi Arabia, and we affirm our commitment to the security and stability of brotherly Saudi Arabia and our full respect for its sovereignty and national security."

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that fraternal relations with Saudi Arabia are a pillar of stability in the region and we are keen to coordinate with our brothers in the Kingdom.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today that it regrets the pressure exerted by the UAE on the Southern Transitional Council in Yemen.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement "its regret for the pressure exerted by the UAE on the forces of the Southern Transitional Council to push its forces to carry out military operations on the southern borders of Saudi Arabia in the provinces of Hadramout and Al Mahrah, which pose a threat to the national security of the Kingdom, and to the security and stability in Yemen and the region, indicating that the steps taken by the UAE are very dangerous, and are not in line with the principles upon which the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen was established, and they do not serve its efforts in achieving security and stability in Yemen."
The statement continued: "The Kingdom affirms in this context that any encroachment or threat to its national security is a red line that the Kingdom will not hesitate to take all necessary steps and measures to confront and neutralize."

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized in its statement "the importance of the UAE's response to Yemen's request for the withdrawal of its military forces from the Republic of Yemen within twenty-four hours, and stopping any military or financial support for any party within Yemen."

This comes after the coalition led by Saudi Arabia targeted external military support for the forces of the Southern Transitional Council at the port of Mukalla.

The official spokesperson for the coalition forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that on Saturday and Sunday (December 27-28, 2025), two ships arriving from the Fujairah port in the UAE entered the port of Mukalla without obtaining official permits from the joint forces command of the coalition.

In the meantime, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, declared a state of emergency for 90 days, affirming his determination to protect civilians and correct the course of partnership within the coalition to support legitimacy.

Al-Alimi also announced a no-fly, no-sail, and no-drive zone at the ports in Yemen for 72 hours, with exemptions for coalition permits.

On another note, Al-Alimi issued on Tuesday a decision to cancel the joint defense agreement with the United Arab Emirates and gave all UAE forces and their personnel 24 hours to leave all Yemeni territories.
