How great are the nations, and how contemptible is the man, who betrays them for cheap coins like him. Such traitors do not deserve to be considered human at all. Because true humanity is governed by noble ideals, values, and principles. The animal, even it defends its den, and its lair with all its capabilities and may die defending it. .
How cheap are those who trade in nations, conspire against them, and sell them to enemies. A homeland, even if it oppresses you and deprives you of your rights, remains your homeland, to which you return, under whose shade you shelter, and where you seek refuge during adversity and tribulations. .
Iraq is great, and will remain so despite the darkness that surrounds it. The great Iraq where its citizens lived in prosperity and widespread goodness. For those unaware, the Iraqi citizen was not preoccupied with ((educating their children)) from nursery to PhD at Iraqi or international universities. Because Iraq guaranteed education for all its children. Nor did the Iraqi worry about ((medical treatment)) at all, as the great Iraq guaranteed right to treatment for its citizens whether inside Iraq or abroad, regardless of the cost of treatment. As every follower of the Iraqi affairs knows, there was what was called (( the food ration )), where Iraq distributed to all its citizens a monthly ration consisting of about (28) food items, sufficient for all family members, free of charge, from food items to cleaning materials. And to preserve the dignity of Iraqis, the ration was received from the nearest shop to their home, in the same neighborhood they lived in. .
As the great Iraq supported books, and offered books at nominal low prices because the Iraqi state before the occupation in 2003 supported the book, and to illustrate the level of support, the book that was sold for (7) Jordanian Dinars, for example, was sold in Iraq for (.75, ) Iraqi dinars in the 1970s. .
Iraq was occupied in 2003, and Iraq completely collapsed, becoming without institutions, ministries, an army, or security. Iraq was systematically destroyed, driven by hatred, and the goal was to remove Iraq from the ranking of rising nations. Most importantly, to remove Iraq from its regional weight by destroying all its capacities to neutralize it in the Arab-Israeli conflict. .
Afterwards, agents spread, and betrayal of the homeland flourished, and traitors found their calling and opportunity for profit. The worst thing is for some to reach betrayal by informing the Americans who were devastating and looting Iraq. They exploited the vulnerable among Iraqis and tempted them to guide the enemies to the whereabouts of the sons of the living martyr Saddam Hussein, and his grandson. .
With boastfulness and pride, the agent / Nawaf Al-Zaidan announced that he guided the Americans to the whereabouts of Uday and Qusay, and Mustafa, where they had taken refuge in his palace in Mosul. He betrayed those who sought his protection. .
Listen to what Nawaf Al-Zaidan said literally and in the Iraqi dialect, in an audio and video recording:— [[ The journalist: Tell us about hosting Uday and Qusay Saddam Hussein at your home, and the events that followed the hosting in the house? Nawaf answers: I went to the Americans, and he asked me what do you have? I told him: I have Qusay and Uday at home. He said: What? Stopped in his tracks, he was astonished. An agreement was made between us (i.e., the Americans). The journalist: The one who joined hands with the Americans, and contributed directly or indirectly in the invasion of Iraq, a traitor or not? Nawaf: Saying this is shameful, this talk is shameful. He who speaks should come out, become a man, his sister’s brother, or else, people suffer behind him.]].
This is what the agent known as / Nawaf Al-Zaidan did, who confessed with his own mouth after (22) years, and said literally: ((I guided the Americans to Uday and Qusay, sons of the martyr / Saddam Hussein)) .
Nawaf Al-Zaidan, was a close friend of the martyr / Saddam Hussein's family. And Nawaf claimed to be from the tribe of the martyr / Saddam Hussein, and he said that to his neighbors, but the tribe denied that affiliation. Nawaf hosted Uday and Qusay, and Qusay's son Mustafa, who was (14) years old, and their guard / Abdul-Samad Al-Haddoushi, in his palace, in Al-Bareed district, in northeast Mosul, for about (3) weeks. And he went willingly, announced his betrayal of his homeland, his fellow countrymen, and provided the enemies with a precious gift they could not have dreamed of. He did that willingly for money and wealth. .
Nawaf Al-Zaidan received from the Americans an amount of (30) million dollars in exchange for guiding them. He sold them for a low, cheap price that matches his moral degradation. .
He said it with pride, and arrogance, and conceit. How cheap you are, how vile, how despicable, how treacherous. If you are proud of your betrayal, from what breed are you? I nearly swear that Iraqi blood does not run through your veins. I swear you do not carry a single Iraqi gene, because the Iraqi gene is a gene of brave, honorable, and noble heroes, it does not carry meanness, vileness, or cheapness, ever. .
Uday and Qusay, sons of the martyr / Saddam Hussein, and his grandson Mustafa resisted, and fought the American occupier with courage, audacity, and boldness for long hours. They are sons of Iraq, and they are Iraqis by blood, birth, and upbringing. If you, / Nawaf Al-Zaidan, had the nobility of the Iraqis, you would not have guided and informed on them to the enemy that occupies Iraq. .
This is a betrayal of the homeland, this is a betrayal of the great Iraq, without any argument or discussion. A glaring, obvious betrayal shunned by the honorable Iraqis. And the purpose is cheap, and vile, just like its owner. .
A tale of betrayal recorded by history, and history does not forget, nor does it forgive. You will be buried, Nawaf Al-Zaidan, and generations will remember your betrayal of your homeland, and you will remain a mark of disgrace on your forehead and your stature that you bowed to the enemy for money. .
May God have mercy on all the martyrs of Iraq, and the martyrs of the Arab and Islamic nations. And may the traitor / Nawaf Al-Zaidan and those like him, and who resemble him in actions of meanness and vileness be despised. How could he betray his asylum seeker and inform on him while he had taken refuge in his house for protection and he betrayed him. Is this one of the traits of the noble Arabs? Arabness and its values are innocent of these people. .
And I conclude with three verses of poetry :—
> Said the great poet / Nizar Qabbani :—
I abandon palaces of humiliation though they be of gold / And dwell in houses of honor even if they are ruins .
> Also said the poet / Murra bin Dhihil :—
And more beautiful than a life of humiliation is death / And some disgrace cannot be erased by any means .
> And said:— Al-Mutanabbi :-
Degraded is he who envies the miserable for their life / Some lives are lighter than death .
