Khaberni - The Director General of Public Security, Major General Obeidallah Al-Muayta, visited the Civil Defense Directorate, where he reviewed the work progress and the level of operational readiness, and was briefed on the preparedness of human resources and plans to deal with weather conditions during the winter season, appreciating the significant efforts made by the Civil Defense personnel during the last weather depression.
During the visit, Major General Al-Muayta listened to a detailed briefing in the Civil Defense main operations room, which included a presentation on the readiness of the field teams and the rapid response mechanisms for reports, and the nature of dealing with various incidents, especially rescue, evacuation, and medical aid operations, water suction accumulation areas, and traffic accidents that accompanied the depression.
The Director General of Public Security also visited the Command and Control Center (911), and listened to a briefing on the volume of reports received during the weather depression, the most significant recorded incidents, and the coordination and follow-up mechanisms with various formations of the General Security Directorate and relevant agencies, ensuring quick response and precise handling of emergency situations.
Major General Al-Muayta praised the outstanding and significant efforts made by all formations of the General Security Directorate, which operated around the clock with a unified team spirit, affirming that these efforts had a clear impact on maintaining the safety of citizens and reducing the effects of the weather depression.
The Director General of Public Security emphasized the importance of joint work and performance integration among various components of the General Security Directorate from police, civil defense, and gendarmerie, noting that this integration positively reflected on the level of service provided and its quality, and was clearly evident during the handling of the weather depression, in addition to continuous coordination with ministries, institutions, and relevant agencies during the winter season.
