Khaberni - The spokesperson for Greater Irbid Municipality, Gaith Al-Tal, said that the municipality's around-the-clock emergency teams dealt with 127 complaints during the weather depression until Tuesday morning.
Al-Tal added that 90 percent of the complaints were routine for the winter season, mainly concerning high water levels on several roads and blockages in water drainage manholes due to the accumulation of soil or waste.
He explained that 10 percent of the complaints involved unfinished excavation sections belonging to various service companies operating within the city limits, in addition to the flooding of some sewage manholes, noting that the municipality handled 4 houses invaded by water, with very limited damage mostly to garages and basements of buildings.
Al-Tal mentioned that some complaints were about landslides on the edges of streets, minor collapses in building excavations, water pooling in vacant lands, as well as some trees falling, which were promptly dealt with, and the collapse of a cave in a remote area, which was handled in cooperation with the civil defense without any damages occurring.
