Asiri, who is now in the hospital after suffering various injuries, said, "If time could turn back, would you do the same thing?" to which he replied: "My heightened sense of responsibility towards the guests of the Merciful propelled me to intervene immediately without considering my personal safety."
Ryan Asiri stressed that the security and safety of those heading to the Sacred House of God are a top priority and a red line for security men, emphasizing that there is no room for complacency in protecting the guests of the Merciful whatever the circumstances may be.
Asiri reassured the community about his health condition, explaining that he suffered a dislocated knee and two fractures in the leg, and underwent two successful surgical operations.
Regarding the details of the situation, he said: "I did my duty in serving the guests of the Merciful, and I thank God that I was at the right time and place to save this person's life, and I ask God for his healing," affirming that this behavior is not strange for any Saudi citizen, but is considered an honor and a national duty.
According to what the Saudi Public Security announced and official sources mentioned, the special force for the security of the Grand Mosque managed a situation where a person attempted to throw himself from the upper floors of the Grand Mosque. While the security man was intervening to save him, he suffered injuries, and both the security man and the concerned individual were taken to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care and complete the regulatory procedures.
