Shocking scene in China Robot kicks its inventor and knocks him to the ground

Khaberni - The CEO of a Chinese company specializing in robotics, Zhao Tongyang, shared a video on the company's Instagram account showing a new humanoid robot model T800 kicking him and knocking him to the ground, in an unusual experiment aimed at addressing doubts about the robot's capabilities.

In the video, the CEO is seen wearing protective gear for his legs, abdomen, and head, while the employees around him mock him and ask if he is nervous, then the T800 robot directs a kick to his stomach causing him to fall to the ground, after which Zhao said: "It is violent and very harsh.".

This video comes after the company previously released another video showing the robot performing punches and kicks in a boxing gym, but online followers doubted the authenticity of the video and considered it CGI, prompting the company to film this new video to prove that the robot can actually perform the movements.

In a comment on the video, EngineAI clarified that the experiment was motivated by curiosity to find out what it feels like to receive a kick from the robot, describing the experiment as "an experiment to know the actual capabilities of the T800 model."

It is not yet clear whether the robot operates autonomously or under remote control.

It is noted that EngineAI raised funding worth $180.69 million in December 2025, led by Chinese investment groups including HPR Capital, Tsinghua Holdings Capital, and Henan Investment Group.

The company plans in 2026 to enhance the widespread deployment of the robot and develop practical verification scenarios, with the goal of advancing industrial upgrading and reshaping the ecosystem of human-robot coexistence.

This development comes at a time when the market for humanoid robots is seeing a rapid increase, with forecasts indicating that the market size could exceed $5 trillion by 2050, although EngineAI has not yet been listed among the leading companies in this field, which includes companies such as Nvidia and Sony.
