Khaberni - Actress Ilham Al-Fadalah commented on the ruling issued by the Kuwaiti Criminal Court acquitting her of the charge of publishing and broadcasting false news, expressing her gratitude and happiness for the removal of the injustice after a period of anxiety and tension.
Al-Fadalah posted on her official Instagram account using the stories feature, saying: "Praise be to God as He deserves for the majesty of His face and His great authority, praise be to God until You are pleased, and praise be to God when You are pleased, and praise be to God after satisfaction."
Al-Fadalah extended her thanks to everyone who supported her from Kuwait, the Gulf, and the Arab world, emphasizing that their sincere prayers were a support for her throughout the duration of the case, saying: "All thanks and gratitude to my people in Kuwait, the Gulf, and the Arab world whose sincere prayers accompanied me.. and I also send a message of thanks and appreciation to our honorable judiciary for lifting the injustice from me."
The verdict came after a series of judicial procedures that began with the spread of a video attributed to Ilham Al-Fadalah on social media platforms, which was considered in violation of the electronic media law.
During the trial, the court confronted the artist with the clip, but she firmly denied the charge.
The public prosecution had referred Ilham Al-Fadalah to trial on the charge of publishing false news and offenses through her digital platforms, but the court found the evidence insufficient for conviction and issued its acquittal verdict.
It is noteworthy that the Criminal Court had previously decided to release Al-Fadalah without bail, before scheduling a later session on December 8th to issue the final judgment, after the defense team confirmed the case file was free of any evidence requiring continued detention.
