Ahmed Al Shuqeiry posted on his Instagram account a farewell message to his father in which he expressed feelings of loss and gratitude, writing «You have been good to me, and to everyone you dealt with in your life. You were my support. You were my friend. You were my teacher. Praise be to Allah, Lord has alleviated your suffering, and I ask Him to treat you kindly as you have treated us. May you rest in eternal peace, by the will of Allah. I lived 52 years on this earth, and I have never felt a feeling like losing a father.»
