- The emergency devices in the Northern Jordan Valley district reopened the Adasiya-Northern Shuna road to traffic today, Monday, after it was closed due to the accumulation of water flowing from the valleys and mountains adjacent to the road.
The district governor and head of the emergency committee, Khaled Al-Kasasbeh, said that emergency team machinery from Muath bin Jabal Municipality, Public Works, the Joint Services Council, and Civil Defense, worked on removing stones and silt that had accumulated on parts of the road and draining the flooded waters.
He pointed out that they dealt with limited rock collapses and soil erosions due to heavy rains on the International Jordan Valley route in the Marza area, in addition to population clusters in the Madraj area, alongside continuing to open channels and rainwater drainage culverts in various areas of the Northern Jordan Valley by concerned municipal staff.
Al-Kasasbeh urged citizens to stay away from watercourses and torrents to maintain public safety and to inform the district emergency rooms of any developments during the prevailing weather conditions.
