The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, represented by the Department of Physical Therapy, organized an awareness community seminar on elderly care and protection from domestic falls, held in the Al-Karamah Hall of the Greater Madaba Municipality.
This seminar is part of a series of community seminars conducted by the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in the Madaba Governorate during the year 2025, in collaboration with the local community health committees under the Madaba Health Directorate, and including participation from several associations and centers concerned with care, special education, and community service under the Ministry of Social Development, alongside a group of community activists in the Madaba Governorate.
During the seminar, faculty and administrative staff provided thorough explanations about the correct methods of transferring the elderly and ways to use assistive devices to reduce the risks of falling within homes. Meanwhile, the physical therapy department students actively participated by practically demonstrating safe mobility techniques for the elderly.
The attendees praised the leading role that Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan plays in community awareness, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in enhancing health awareness.
