Khaberni - Amman Chamber of Industry implemented a specialized training program in the field of solutions and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution within the project "Empowering Small and Medium Industries through Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies", in cooperation with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and the InJo 4.0 Future Mastery Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and with support from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply within the framework of implementing the industrial policy plan.
The organization of the training program aims to enable the engineering and technical staff of Jordanian industrial companies to acquire specialized technical skills necessary to benefit from various applications and solutions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, contributing to digital transformation, improving productivity, enhancing operational efficiency, and reducing costs. Additionally, the program complements a consultancy services program launched through the "Empowerment" project to provide technical assistance to industrial companies through readiness assessment and preparation of necessary implementation plans for adopting the applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
During the past period, the training program included the implementation of (10) specialized training courses in the fields of solutions and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, most notably: Smart Factory Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Applications, Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP), Industrial Robots, Cybersecurity for Industrial Systems, Augmented Reality (AR) in the Industrial Environment. Approximately (180) trainees from engineers, technicians working in industrial companies, IT company employees, and recent graduates of engineering and technical disciplines participated in these courses. The training courses were designed to combine theoretical aspects and practical application using modern industrial tools and systems that simulate the real working environment in factories, while further specialized training courses are planned to continue training (280) more trainees.
The program contributed to achieving several important results, most notably: enhancing the level of knowledge and practical awareness among trainees of the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, strengthening the ability to analyze industrial processes and identify opportunities for improvement and digital transformation, in addition to supporting industrial companies in building qualified staff to participate in digital transformation projects.
It is noted that the project "Empowering Small and Medium Industries through Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies" is part of efforts to achieve the targets of the economic modernization vision, through supporting digital transformation in the industry, creating quality job opportunities, and building a more efficient, flexible, and sustainable industrial sector.
