After a twoyear absence Motorola prepares to launch a new flagship phone competing with the giants

Khaberni - After months of leaks and speculations, "Motorola" has officially started preparing for a strong return to the traditional slab design flagship phone category, an initial step that is the first of its kind in nearly two years.

Online store "Flipkart" has launched a promotional page for a new "Motorola" phone under the name Signature, with the striking phrase: "Signature Class is coming soon," clearly indicating that the company is preparing to unveil a high-end luxury phone, with more details to be announced soon.

At the same time, the phone appeared on the "Geekbench" platform, revealing some key specifications, most notably the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, alongside a random access memory capacity of 16 gigabytes, specifications that place it directly in the league of the strongest expected Android phones by 2026, according to a report published by the "phonearena" website.

According to this data, the Motorola Signature will be the first traditional design flagship phone launched by the company since the Edge 50 Ultra released in 2024.

Will it compete with the Galaxy S26 Ultra?
Leaks suggest that the phone will feature a 6.7-inch curved-edge screen with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a triple rear camera relying on three 50-megapixel sensors each.

But the most interesting point is the mention of an integrated stylus inside the phone, a rare feature outside the "Samsung" system, which could make the Signature a direct competitor to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The battery.. a question mark
So far, the battery capacity remains unconfirmed.

However, considering that "Motorola" used a 4,800 milliampere battery in its slim phone Edge 70, it is likely that the Signature phone will come with a larger battery.

In contrast, one of the most anticipated competitors, the OnePlus 15R, offers a massive 7,400 milliampere battery with 80 watts fast charging support.

A killer of flagship phones?
If these specifications prove correct, and Motorola manages to price the phone competitively, the Motorola Signature could be one of the most interesting phones in 2026.

But the real challenge remains system support and updates, a point that "Motorola" needs to improve if it wants to convince "Samsung" and "Apple" users to switch to their camp.
