Bahrain Imprisonment and deportation of a Gulf citizen for two years for posting indecent clips

Furthermore, the court ordered him to pay a fine in the amount of one thousand Bahraini dinars for committing misdemeanors of possessing and transferring indecent films about public morals with intent to distribute, and possessing pornographic materials within the information technology system, and ordered the confiscation of his mobile phone and his permanent exclusion from the country after serving his sentence.

The details of the incident trace back to a report received by the Cyber Crimes department from a citizen, who stated that the accused had insulted him using phrases that breach his honor on social media platforms, on the basis of which the department was able to track the accused's account, revealing his habit of appearing in indecent clips about public morals on social media platforms, and Public Prosecution was notified about the incident..
