Khaberni - The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Huneiti, inspected on Sunday several units of the armed forces tasked with maintaining security and protecting the borders and the branches supporting them, in the context of ongoing field monitoring of operational readiness and observing the progress of duty implementation, amidst recent events and current weather conditions.
Major General Al-Huneiti commenced his tour with a visit to the Martyr Mofaq Salti Air Base, where he was greeted by the commander of the Royal Air Force.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff listened to a briefing that covered the tasks, duties, and the important and vital role that the Royal Air Force plays in supporting ground forces, through aerial reconnaissance and monitoring operations and destroying hostile targets, to prevent various forms of threats on the northern front of the kingdom, emphasizing the importance of ongoing coordination between the different branches to contribute to border protection and enhance response speed to various challenges.
The tour included an inspection of the 29th Royal Rocket Battalion, where he reviewed the level of readiness and combat preparedness, and the role played by the Royal Artillery through providing firing support on the northern front of the units and formations operating there, affirming that the level of professionalism in planning and implementation contributes to the performance of the Jordanian Armed Forces' mission and the execution of its duties to the fullest.
On the northern front of the kingdom, Major General Al-Huneiti, accompanied by the commander of the Eastern Military Region, reviewed the measures being implemented by the 4th Royal Border Guard Battalion, and its role in countering smuggling operations of weapons and drugs using the latest defensive technological systems, which help to increase the level of monitoring and early warning, to ensure quick and effective response to any potential threats.
At the end of the tour, attended by a number of senior officers of the armed forces, Major General Al-Huneiti conveyed the greetings and pride of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces for the efforts exerted by the ranks of the armed forces in various locations and branches, appreciating their professionalism and high efficiency in performing the duties entrusted to them, affirming the continued commitment of the General Command to developing defensive capabilities to ensure the security of the kingdom and the safety of its citizens in all conditions and situations.
