Khaberni - The head of the Jordanian Engineers Syndicate, Engineer Abdullah Ghosheh, said that the decision taken by the Greater Amman Municipality Council today to adopt the principles of green building application, and to endorse the incentives offered by the Secretariat, is a positive step that contributes to making the projects more feasible from several aspects.
Ghosheh explained in a post on the social media site «Facebook», that this step will improve building performance by reducing the costs of energy and water usage, in addition to offering clear incentives to investors, most notably an increase in the building percentage by 20%, and an increase in building height by 10%, along with facilitations related to the payment of regulatory and improvement revenues.
And the head of the Engineers Syndicate confirmed that developing the built environment and enhancing the sustainability of buildings is a shared responsibility that falls on everyone, due to its direct impact on the economy, the environment, and the quality of life.
