Khaberni - The Directorate of Industry and Commerce in Ajloun Governorate conducted about 360 supervisory rounds in the markets during the current year, resulting in the issuance of 165 violations, distributed among two violations for not providing the product, 8 violations for not adhering to the announced price, and 155 violations for not announcing the prices.
Majid Haddad, the director of the directorate, stated in a comment to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) today, Sunday, that legal procedures required against the violators have been taken, in accordance with the provisions of the Industry and Commerce Law and the related regulatory instructions.
He pointed out that the directorate conducts nearly daily supervisory rounds that cover various markets in all municipalities of the governorate and target shops selling provisioning goods, central markets, butcheries, and bakeries, alongside various commercial sectors throughout the year aiming to control violations and enhance compliance with regulatory legislations and protect consumer rights to ensure price stability.
He clarified that the pace of supervision escalates during holiday seasons and high-demand periods, when two supervisory rounds are conducted daily, in order to prevent any infractions or practices that could harm the consumers.
