Khaberni - The Zakat Fund's board of directors approved the disbursement of urgent cash support for winter clothing valued at 35 dinars for each family receiving monthly assistance and those receiving orphan sponsorships, with the payments to be made through bank accounts.
During its meeting today, Sunday, chaired by the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalaileh, the board approved the renovation of 11 homes for deserving families in various areas, after conducting the necessary studies, in addition to purchasing 84 goats and 110 sheep as part of a rehabilitation project aimed at providing a sustainable income source for a number of deserving families across different provinces of the kingdom.
The decisions also included the distribution of a free electronic educational grant provided by a specialized company in the form of study cards for the children benefiting from the fund's services to enhance their educational capabilities.
The council also approved the Zakat Fund's estimated budget for the year 2026, and the fund's work plan for the coming year, which included the executive plans for the activities of the holy month of Ramadan and the fund's media plan.
