Turki Shoots His Wife in a Hospital

Khaberni - The corridors of a government hospital in Sakarya, Turkey, turned into a horror scene after a man chased his pharmacist wife and shot her during her official shift, amidst patients and visitors, in an incident that sparked widespread panic and anger.

Yenikent Government Hospital in Karaman neighborhood, Adapazari district, witnessed this horrific act of violence last night (Saturday) when the husband (32 years old) attacked his pharmacist wife (29 years old) amidst ongoing marital disputes that had reached the point of divorce.

According to Turkish media sources, the husband went to the hospital under the pretext of talking to her, before the conversation turned into a violent altercation within the hospital corridors, prompting the wife to attempt an escape amidst the patients and visitors.

Surveillance cameras captured the husband chasing his wife and trying to shoot her several times, as the gun malfunctioned initially, before he successfully shot her in the abdomen, causing severe injuries.

Security teams intervened immediately, and one of the guards managed to restrain the husband, while footage showed a heroic act by one of the women present who kicked the gun away from the husband, preventing further injuries.

The injured wife was immediately taken for treatment, while the police arrested the husband and referred him to the judiciary, where a decision was made to detain him pending investigation.

This incident sparked widespread outrage and raised questions about safety procedures and protection of women from domestic violence within healthcare institutions, especially in busy workplaces like hospitals, where violence can escalate to a disaster in a matter of minutes.
