Khaberni - The Middle East University was honored during the opening ceremony of the 2025 Global English Language Olympiad for Universities in its second session, as recognition for its active participation in enhancing English language education in higher education, aligned with national objectives to elevate students' linguistic skills, and bolster their academic competitiveness on both regional and international levels.
The university students participating in the Olympiad were under the training and supervision of: Dr. Naseeba Awajan, and Dr. Khaloud Lebzou. They achieved notable presence by winning 3 awards: Best Poster, Best Representation, and Best Team Spirit, awarded to: Yusra Al-Badawi, Jana Al-Ayan, Dalia Saleh, Lin Suleiman, Basmala Jadallah, Batool Toolbar, Anas Abu Dahak, Maryam Adas, Dibaj Salameh, and Jana Zamnoun.
The Olympiad that was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Azmi Governorate, was attended by the university's president Professor Dr. Salam Al-Muhaidin, and a number of university presidents, deans of student affairs, and others from specialists.
And the purpose of the Global English Language Olympiad for Universities is to motivate students to excel linguistically, and create a competitive academic environment that contributes to developing communication skills, critical thinking, and cultural openness, within internationally recognized standards.
