Khaberni - The Middle East University was honored during the opening ceremony of the 2025 Global English Language Olympiad for Universities in its second edition, in recognition of its active participation in enhancing the teaching of the English language in higher education, aligned with national directions aimed at improving students' linguistic skills, and boosting their academic competitiveness at both regional and international levels.
The university students participating in the Olympiad were under the training and supervision of Dr. Nisibeh Awjan and Dr. Khlood Libzo, and they made a notable presence by winning 3 awards: Best Poster Award, Best Representation Award, and Best Team Spirit Award, awarded to: Yusra Al-Badawi, Jana Al-Ayan, Dalia Saleh, Lin Suleiman, Basmala Jadallah, Batool Tolbar, Anas Abu Dahak, Mariam Adas, Dibaj Salameh, and Jannah Zamanoun.
The Olympiad, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, witnessed the presence of the university president, Professor Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, and a number of university presidents, deans of student affairs, and other specialists.
The Global English Language Olympiad for Universities aims to motivate students to excel in linguistic skills, create a competitive academic environment that contributes to developing communication skills, critical thinking, and cultural openness, within internationally recognized standards.
