Khaberni - Today, Sunday, the Israeli army forces completely withdrew from the town of Qabatiya south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, after a wide-scale operation that was conducted following a dual ramming and stabbing attack in the city of Beisan, which resulted in the death of two Israelis.
The Israeli army pulled back more than 40 military vehicles accompanied by bulldozers towards the military checkpoints surrounding Jenin after the two-day military operation.
The Israeli forces had closed off the town and imposed a severe siege on it, while the forces raided Palestinian homes in the town, mistreated and arrested the residents, and converted some homes and a school in the town into a military barrack.
The Israeli forces imposed a comprehensive curfew on the town, prohibiting citizens from entering or leaving it.
The mayor of Qabatiya told Al Jazeera that the Israeli army completely isolated the town from its surroundings, amidst a widespread raiding and house searching campaign.
The Israeli media quoted the Defense Minister, Israel Katz, as saying that the Israeli army is actively working against what he described as "terror strongholds" in Qabatiya, confirming the continuation of the offensive policy in the north of the West Bank without leniency. He said that the army imposes a curfew and a complete blockade on the Palestinian town as part of the operation.
