Khaberni - The UAE is preparing to welcome the new year 2026 with a wide array of events including light shows and global fireworks that will take place across the different Emirates, particularly the capital, Abu Dhabi, which will witness global shows and major artistic celebrations.
The Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival site in Al Wathba area will offer the most comprehensive events in Abu Dhabi, where visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy folkloric and heritage performances and fireworks, as well as drone shows that will adorn the skies of Al Wathba with stunning creativity.
Abu Dhabi Corniche retains its status as one of the main celebration sites in the capital, where the annual fireworks display takes place, starting at midnight on December 31 directly after the countdown ends.
Al Ain
Meanwhile, Hazza bin Zayed Stadium will welcome the new year with fireworks that will light up the city's sky and dazzle attendees, in a festive atmosphere that blends excellence and entertainment, making it an ideal location for families thanks to the facilities and services it includes.
Downtown Dubai.. A Giant Stage
This year, Emaar is preparing for an unprecedented New Year's Eve celebration that will elevate celebration standards on the global stage, as the entirety of Downtown Dubai will transform into a giant open-air stage, while celebrations in the emirate will continue for 8 days from December 31 until January 7, offering visitors a unique, extended experience.
The events include fireworks, laser and light shows, mobile platforms, aerial displays, and live performances.
On the organizational side, the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) has announced its preparations to organize more than 45 fireworks displays in 36 different locations in Dubai, emphasizing compliance with safety guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Record-Breaking Shows in Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah will continue its series of record-breaking shows in the Guinness Records during the New Year celebrations, where both Marjan Island and Al Hamra Beach will transform into a canvas of stunning colors, through drone shows and fireworks, and innovative light effects.
3 Locations in Sharjah
New Year's Eve celebrations in the Emirate of Sharjah will kick off at 8 PM on December 31 at 3 main locations: Al Majaz Waterfront, where live performances on the saxophone and violin will take place, along with a 5-minute fireworks display, while Al Heera Beach will feature LED shows, lights, and fireworks, and Khorfakkan Beach will offer visitors New Year’s Eve celebrations with electrical wire shows.
Ajman Corniche
Ajman's sky will be adorned with displays of fireworks, as this year, specifically, a grand display lasting 15 minutes will take place on Ajman Corniche, comprising a mix of light effects and music in an atmosphere that can be viewed from various parts of the city.
