Khaberni - As part of its commitment to corporate responsibility and enhancing sustainable development, ABC Bank in Jordan organized an environmental event in which its employees participated by planting 500 fruit trees in the Giza area in collaboration with the Arab Association for Nature Protection, as part of the "Green Caravan" program.
The participation of employees in the tree planting process embodies the culture of volunteering that the bank is keen to instill, and is in line with its strategy for sustainable development, which seeks to achieve a positive economic, social, and environmental impact, leading to a more sustainable economy. This step also aims to support farmers in less fortunate areas by reclaiming their land and planting it with trees of nutritional and economic value, thereby improving their living standards and providing a sustainable source of income, reducing poverty and unemployment.
In this context, His Excellency Mr. George Farah Sofia - General Manager of ABC Bank in Jordan, said: "We are proud of our employees' participation in this initiative which reflects our deep commitment to the community and the environment. Planting fruit trees not only helps in combating desertification but also provides real support to farmers in less fortunate areas, boosting food security and achieving sustainable economic and social impact."
