Khaberni - The city of Medford in New York, USA witnessed an incident similar to the famous film "Home Alone", where a 12-year-old child managed to thwart an attempted house robbery during the Christmas holiday in a quick and smart way.
In detail, the child heard the sound of the kitchen window breaking, followed by footsteps around the house.
Being alone in the house, Tristan decided to escape quickly through his room's window, and outside, he managed to see the thief and communicate with emergency services.
The child stated to CBS New York, saying: "I said to myself that I had to get out of the house as quickly as possible", and added: "I was on the phone with the emergency services waiting for their arrival."
His grandmother, Timothy Taylor, expressed her pride in her grandson, saying: "We were proud of his ability to remain calm and call the police so quickly.. Without thinking, he automatically called for help."
Regarding the thief, Christian Garcia, aged 53, was arrested at the scene, and was charged with third-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
