Khaberni - The Meteorological Department stated that by the will of God, the Kingdom will remain on Sunday under the influence of the cold and moist air mass associated with the low-pressure system. A further drop in temperatures is expected, with cold, cloudy, and rainy weather in most areas. Rainfall, occasionally heavy, is expected during the morning hours in the north, central, and southwestern regions, accompanied by thunder and hail. Western winds will also intensify, reaching gusts of between 50–60 km/h, raising dust in the desert areas. The intensity of the rain is expected to decrease gradually during the evening and night.
The Meteorological Department warned of the risk of flash floods in valleys and low areas, especially in the north, central kingdom, and parts of the southwestern areas including the Dead Sea region. There are also risks due to strong wind speeds and reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, fog, and low clouds, with warnings of possible slippery roads during rainfall.
It added that on Monday, the Kingdom will be affected by another low-pressure system centered east of Cyprus Island. The weather will continue cold and cloudy with renewed rainfall in the north, central kingdom, and parts of the eastern and southwestern areas. The rain may be heavy at times and accompanied by thunder and hail. Western winds will also intensify with strong gusts that may reach speeds of 60–70 km/h, raising dust in the desert areas. Rain intensity is expected to weaken at night.
It indicated that on Tuesday, the weather will be cold during the day in most areas, and warmer in the valleys, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with clouds appearing at various altitudes and possible light rain showers in the morning in parts of the north and central kingdom. Fog formation is expected at night in many areas, leading to reduced horizontal visibility.
On Wednesday, the Meteorological Department expects a slight rise in temperatures during the day, with the weather remaining cold in most areas, and warmer in the valleys, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. The night will be partly cloudy and colder with the possibility of fog formation over the mountainous highlands.
