Khaberni - Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, head of the Greater Amman Municipality Committee, visited several areas of the Amman Municipality today, Saturday, including the main emergency room in Tla al-Ali and the traffic control center, accompanied by the city manager Engineer Ahmad Malkawi. He checked on the readiness of the municipality's teams to handle the weather depression affecting the kingdom.
Al-Shawarbeh instructed to monitor all main and subsidiary streets within the neighborhoods of Amman, and to follow the general state of entrances and exits of culverts, box culverts, rainwater drainage sites, and uncovered channels at bridges and tunnels, around the clock to avoid any traffic blockage.
He also emphasized the need for a quick response to the observations and complaints received by the emergency room through effective field coordination among different sectors, reaffirming that the municipality puts all its resources at the service of Amman, to maintain infrastructure, traffic flow, and ensure the safety of citizens.
Al-Shawarbeh also inspected the traffic control center, where he was briefed on the intelligent systems for monitoring traffic flow through the screens of the traffic control unit,
and listened to a detailed explanation of the traffic movement at all intersections, roads, tunnels, and main squares in the capital, as upgrading the traffic system is a priority to enhance transportation efficiency and achieve fluidity in vital streets.
