Khaberni - Journalist Ghazi Murayat has called on the relevant authorities to adopt a plan that encourages citizens to license their vehicles.
Murayat requested the postponement of the collection of fines from drivers who take the initiative to license their vehicles before the end of this year, with these amounts to be held in their accounts until they obtain licensing next year, wishing for improvements in the citizens' financial conditions during this period and their ability to make payments soon.
Murayat explained that this approach does not mean exemption from fines, but rather the postponement of their collection, anticipating an increase in vehicle owners licensing their vehicles if this proposal is activated.
Murayat's suggestion came after the Public Security Directorate called on owners of expired vehicle licenses to correct their status, describing it as a serious violation that threatens road safety and its users.
Deputy Director of Traffic Management, Colonel Raed Al-Faouri, announced the start of a broad security and surveillance campaign targeting vehicles with expired licenses.
