Khaberni - The public prosecutor of the State Security Court decided to prevent the prosecution of a young man for the felony of promoting drug substances, after confirming the results of the substance examination, which he sold to a narcotics control agent, considering it a narcotic substance.
A well-informed source, as reported by Al-Rai daily, said that the young man was known to the narcotics control department for using and promoting drug substances. They assigned one of their contacts to communicate with this young man and requested a narcotic substance for a price. The young man was prepared for this, and an agreement was made about the time and place of receipt and delivery.
The source added that during the meeting, the contact was accompanied by a narcotics control agent, who played the role of the buyer, and received the substance from the young man, considering it to be the drug crystal meth, and handed over the agreed price. The young man was arrested on the spot and detained by the public prosecutor of the State Security Court for the felony of promoting drug substances and the misdemeanor of using drug substances.
The source continued, stating that after the substance which the young man sold to the narcotics control agent, considered a narcotic substance, was analyzed by the public prosecutor, it was found to contain no narcotic substances. Instead, it was a mix of lemon salt and alum, which is used by barbers. Consequently, it was decided not to prosecute him for the felony of promoting drug substances and to refer him to court on the misdemeanor of usage.
