Khaberni - Channel "14 Israeli" reported that Israel's recognition of Somalia Land came in exchange for accommodating the residents of Gaza.
Netanyahu's office officially recognized the Republic of Somalia Land on Friday, describing it as a historic step.
The channel noted that the announcement, which was modeled on the "Abraham Accords," includes the establishment of full diplomatic relations and strategic cooperation in various fields, indicating that "Somalia Land will include the residents of Gaza in exchange for this recognition".
Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, and the President of the Republic of Somalia Land, Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohammad Abdullahi, signed a joint statement. Netanyahu congratulated President Abdullahi calling him for an unprecedented official visit to Israel.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, who spoke with President Abdullahi, said relations had solidified over the past year through continuous dialogue. Sa'ar stated: "Today we signed a mutual recognition agreement and the establishment of full diplomatic relations, including the appointment of ambassadors and the opening of embassies." The minister ordered his office to immediately begin communication.
In addition to the security and political aspects, Israel intends to immediately expand cooperation with Somalia Land in key civilian areas: agriculture and technology - transferring Israeli knowledge and developing joint projects - enhancing healthcare systems, and expanding trade between the two nations.
