Khaberni - The Jordan Standards and Metrology Corporation warned citizens and business owners against buying diesel (solar) through fictitious electronic pages or being swayed by offers promoted by pages that impersonate names of companies operating in the fuel sector, claiming to deliver diesel to the facilities.
The Corporation, in a post on social media platforms, emphasized the importance of refraining from purchasing from unknown electronic sources or those that are unlicensed. It called for checking the tanker permit issued by the Jordan Standards and Metrology Corporation, ensuring that it is valid.
The Corporation also stressed the importance of verifying the presence of official seals on the tanker's meter, the filling of the hose with diesel, and that the meter should read zero before starting the filling process, in addition to the necessity of obtaining a printed invoice that shows the quantity of fuel filled, and ensuring that the value in the invoice matches the meter reading.
Furthermore, the Corporation invited citizens to keep the tanker number and the name of the station or the company it belongs to, which contributes to facilitating follow-up and prosecution procedures in case there are any observations or violations.
The Jordan Standards and Metrology Corporation confirmed that it receives complaints and inquiries related to the quantities or quality of fuel via the complaints phone and WhatsApp (065301243), or through the official website (www.jsmo.gov.jo), or via the “Bakhidmatkom” application, emphasizing the importance of immediate reporting in case of any suspected transgressions, to protect consumer rights and safety.
