Fadel Shakers imprisonment delays Saad Lamjarreds song

Khaberni - The anticipated musical duet between Moroccan artist Saad Lamjarred and Lebanese artist Mohamed Fadel Shaker, son of the singer Fadel Shaker, faces continuous delays despite being filmed months ago in Paris amid ongoing inquiries about the reasons that have prevented the release of this awaited artistic work.

Moroccan reports revealed that the song, titled "Al Qamar Dyali," was filmed in France and blends Moroccan and Egyptian dialects in a youthful romantic work that aligns with the artistic identity of the two stars and targets a broad Arab audience.

The reports indicated that the song has been technically ready for some time, with Yemeni artist Jumana Jamal overseeing its lyrics and melody, while Lebanese Hossam Saabi handled the musical arrangement, and Moroccan director Amir Al-Ruwani directed the video clip.

Despite the technical readiness, the release of the duet has been delayed due to the crisis faced by the Lebanese artist Fadel Shaker, which has indirectly affected the promotional path of the work, along with Saad Lamjarred recently being busy with the launch of his song for the African Cup of Nations, which was released concurrently with the sporting event.

The song was scheduled to be released between 17 and19 December (December) this year, but the release date remains contingent on several organizational considerations related to marketing and choosing the optimal timing.

The Military Court in Beirut had postponed the trial of Lebanese artist Fadel Shaker until February 3, 2026, at the request of his lawyer Amata Mubarak who sought more time from the court to review the four files her client is charged in, according to the National News Agency.

Shaker appeared before the Military Court at the previously scheduled time, to begin his trial in four lawsuits related to: belonging to an armed organization, financing this organization (Ahmed Al-Asir group), possession of unlicensed weapons, and undermining state authority and its dignity.

This postponement came after Shaker surrendered himself to the Lebanese army in October (October) last year, after vanishing for more than a decade in the Ain al-Helweh Palestinian refugee camp in Sidon, where he was wanted on judicial verdicts related to terrorism.
