The Egyptian team achieved a qualification to the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations after their exciting and hard-fought victory over the South African team with a clean goal, in the match that took place this afternoon at Adrar Stadium, counting for the second round of the Morocco CAN.
Egypt's only goal was scored at the 45th minute by Mohamed Salah from the penalty spot before Mohamed Hany received a red card that complicated the Pharaohs' task; however, thanks to their defensive tenacity, they were able to snatch the match points and qualify for the round of 16 as the first team to do so in the Morocco CAN.
