Today, Friday, December 26, 2025, the Tunisian Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, Azzedine Ben Sheikh, welcomed the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Tunisia, Abdullah Abu Romman, where discussions were held on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural field.
The meeting addressed the prospects of exchanging technical and scientific expertise, particularly in managing water resources and the techniques of cultivating date palms and olives, in addition to enhancing partnerships and investments in the private sector, and supporting cooperation between the research structures in both countries.
Discussions also touched upon ways to develop trade exchanges and facilitate the flow of agricultural products, especially olives, dates, and fertilizers, between the two brotherly countries.
At the end of the meeting, both sides affirmed their joint commitment to further support and develop bilateral cooperation, serving food security and enhancing mutual interests between the two brotherly countries.
