Khaberni - The national exports to the European Union countries have marked a significant increase over the last ten months of this year, having risen by 45.7 percent, according to data from the General Statistics Department.
Official figures showed that the value of the kingdom's exports to the EU countries reached about 520 million dinars during the same period, compared to 357 million dinars for the corresponding period last year.
Italy topped the list of European countries importing Jordanian exports, with the value of exports reaching it at 172 million dinars, compared to 46 million dinars in the same period of the previous year, achieving a record increase of 273.9 percent.
Conversely, the kingdom's imports from the European Union countries increased by 12.4 percent during the same period, reaching 2.647 billion dinars, compared with 2.355 billion dinars for the same period last year.
Germany ranked first among the European countries from which Jordan imports, with the value of imports reaching about 580 million dinars, compared to 542 million dinars during the comparison period, an increase of 7 percent.
According to the data, the most notable national goods exported to the European Union countries focused on clothing, fertilizers, medicines, chemical products, in addition to some agricultural products.
Meanwhile, the most important goods imported from the European Union included vehicles, industrial machinery and equipment, pharmaceutical and medical products, chemical materials, and electrical and electronic equipment, as well as food products.
