Khaberni - Power was cut off at Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat camp in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday evening, due to the depletion of the fuel necessary to operate the electricity generators, after the Israeli occupation army did not allow the entry of the quantities stipulated in the ceasefire agreement, leading to the disruption of energy services in the hospital.
Medical sources in the hospital reported that the generators completely stopped working after exhausting the last available fuel quantities, causing a power outage in all departments of the hospital except for the services that depend on limited backup batteries, at a time when the needs of incoming patients and those with critical conditions are increasing.
The hospital administration confirmed that the continued power outage endangers the lives of patients, especially in the intensive care, children, and surgical operation departments, calling on international organizations and humanitarian bodies to urgently intervene and pressure the occupation to allow the entry of the necessary fuel to operate the generators.
