Khaberni - The Israeli army and the Shin Bet announced today, Thursday, the execution of an assassination operation targeting a "prominent element" in the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, near the town of Nasiriyah in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, while two people were martyred due to an Israeli raid targeting a vehicle in the area.
The Lebanese news agency reported that an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle on the road of Hosh Sayed Ali in Eastern Bekaa, which initially resulted in injuries, before the announcement of the martyrdom of two people affected by their injuries.
In a statement issued by the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health, it was announced that the Israeli raid that targeted a car in the town of Hosh Sayed Ali - Hermel district - led to the martyrdom of two citizens.
A joint statement issued by the Israeli army and the Shin Bet claimed that the target was Hussein Mahmoud Murshid Al-Jouhari, describing him as a "central element in the operations unit of the Iranian Quds Force," and alleging that he was involved in "advancing plans against Israel in the Syrian-Lebanese arena."
Late, Lebanese sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted a car in the area between the towns of Jamjimia and Majdal Salim in the Nabatieh district in southern Lebanon; while the Israeli army, in a brief statement, said it targeted a "member of Hezbollah" in the Jamjimia area in southern Lebanon.
These raids come amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, established since November 2024, amidst Lebanese warnings of expanding the targeting to include areas outside the south.
