Egyptian artist Ahmed El Fishawy began promoting his latest cinema work «The Gatherings Butcher», just two days after the departure of his mother, the actress, Somaya El Alfi, in a behavior many considered as an expression of his commitment to fulfilling her wish and the success of the film.
El Fishawy shared with his followers on his official account on «Instagram» the promotional poster for the work, where he appeared alone, dressed in black, holding a white mask, while his sharp features reflect the mysterious and tense atmosphere that dominates the film's events. He simply commented writing: «Coming soon.. The Gatherings Butcher», which opened the door to widespread interaction among his audience, who saw in the timing of the announcement a special message carrying a poignant human dimension.
The late artist Somaya El Alfi had made sure to visit the film's shooting location to support her son before her death, a visit that was documented by the work's author, Mohamed Salah El Azb, through photos he posted on his «Facebook» account, expressing the work team's happiness with this gesture, and pointing to the significant moral support she provided for the film and its makers.
The film «The Gatherings Butcher» is based on a true story that captivated public opinion, as it tells the story of a character involved in a series of shocking crimes, before the case's threads are unraveled, leading to his arrest and trial, in a psychologically charged dramatic frame filled with human and suspenseful details.
Starring in the film alongside Ahmed El Fishawy are several stars including Sabreen, who plays his mother, Intisar, Jessica Hossam El Din, Cynthia Khalifa, Mariam El Gendy, Aya Selim, Yousra El Masoudi, and Ghofran Mohamed, along with other actors. Mohamed Salah El Azb takes on the roles of writer and director, while Ahmed El Sobky handles the production.
Ahmed El Fishawy bid farewell to his mother with a touching message he posted on «Instagram», in which he expressed his deep sorrow for her departure after a battle with cancer at the age of 72, affirming that her departure left a great void in his life, and concluding his words with prayers for her and the nostalgia that will accompany him throughout his coming days.
