A security source confirmed, on Wednesday evening, that the security authorities referred 16 individuals to the capital's governor after their incitement of hate speech and religious and sectarian strife through posts offending Christian holidays.
The same source emphasized that there will be no tolerance for anyone committing these offenses, which disturb public order and societal peace and offend a segment of the Jordanian society's fabric under any circumstances.
It was mentioned that the security authorities are still monitoring any posts that incite discord and religious strife and will pursue their publishers and those who re-broadcast them, taking the necessary action against them.
