Al-Bdoor added in his speech for the program "Voice of the Kingdom," that this agreement is part of the government's efforts to preserve the hospital as an important medical and educational institution, serving a broad segment of citizens in the north of the kingdom.

He emphasized that preserving health and educational institutions is a primary goal for the government.

Al-Bdoor pointed out that the agreement to pay 40 million dinars of debt, where the first installment of 10 million dinars is scheduled to be paid before the beginning of 2026.

The minister clarified that the full amount will be paid in the next 6 months, to be completed before mid-2026, ensuring that the hospital continues to provide its distinguished medical and educational services.

The Cabinet had approved an agreement to pay off the debt of King Abdullah University Hospital resulting from medical treatments.

According to the agreement, the government will pay 10 million dinars to the hospital during this month and will commit to paying 3 million dinars monthly starting from the beginning of next year; until the full amount of approximately 39.6 million dinars is paid off, which will enable the hospital to sustain its services.

The decision is part of the government's efforts aimed at settling all outstanding dues accumulated over previous years in favor of various entities, where the government has paid approximately 600 million dinars out of more than one billion dinars accumulated previously since its formation in September 2024, and will continue to pay off the remaining amount over the next three years.
