Khaberni - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, revealed that two companies completed preliminary feasibility studies for phosphate exploration in the Al-Risha area.
The Minister stated on Wednesday to the channel "Al-Mamlaka" that the two companies have completed the feasibility studies, expecting to start negotiations to finalize a concession agreement that would enable them to mine and extract raw materials.
The Minister mentioned that the ministry has 20 sites available for investment and mineral exploration, while the ministry has signed 10 memorandums of understanding for mineral exploration.
The Minister also disclosed an agreement for gold exploration in the Abu Khashiba area and another for copper, adding to another concession agreement for copper mining, which the deputies are looking at endorsing.
