Abu Ali Electronic Disbursement of Tax Refunds to Entitled Taxpayers on Sunday

Khaberni - The General Director of the Income and Sales Tax Department, Hussam Abu Ali, said on Wednesday that the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Finance to transfer 25 million dinars for income tax, and to disburse the income tax refunds based on the filings made for 2024 and submitted in 2025.

Abu Ali, in televised statements for the channel "Al Mamlaka", mentioned that the 25 million dinars will cover 40% of the due refunds, which amount to about 62 million dinars, indicating that these refunds include all taxpayers who are due refunds.

He pointed out that 40% of each taxpayer's refund value, for those who filed their returns in 2025 for 2024, and whose refunds have completed all auditing procedures and have been delivered to the department, will be disbursed.

Abu Ali added that the disbursement of these refunds electronically will commence next Sunday morning by transferring them to the banks on the taxpayers' account numbers, without the need for taxpayers to visit the department.

Meanwhile, the Income and Sales Tax Department urged all taxpayers who were unable to fulfill their financial obligations during this current year to settle them before the end of the current year 2025, noting that the settlement of the due balances by taxpayers is through electronic payment methods.

The department also announced office hours of its directorates in Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, and Aqaba on Saturday, December 27th, current year and also extended the hours for accountants, cashiers, and public service offices in these directorates until 6 PM on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025 to enable some taxpayers to settle their due balances in case they are not settled electronically before the end of the current fiscal year.
