In a first-of-its-kind visit for an official delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Industry in the Syrian Arab Republic to a cement factory in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Manaseer Industrial Complex, one of the Manaseer Group companies, owner of the trademarks Cement "Nashmi" and Cement "Qasioun", welcomed an official delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry specialized in standards and specifications in Syria, on a field visit to Manaseer Cement Factory, aiming to view the mechanisms and steps of producing various types of cement, and to get acquainted with the latest technologies adopted in production, inspection, and quality control.
The cement plant at Manaseer Industrial Complex is among the leading factories in the region, producing bulk and bagged cement in accordance with the highest specifications, standards, and international criteria adopted in the cement industry, and has received several global quality certificates and awards, including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001, in addition to the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence.
The factory has proven its merit and strength in various fields and major projects inside Jordan and abroad, including in Syria and Palestine, through the quality of its products and the adoption of the latest industrial technologies. The factory's annual production capacity is about 1.8 million tons of cement, efficiently meeting the needs of local and regional markets.
The Syrian delegation included Engineer Mohammad Salim Bani Marjeh, General Manager of the Public Cable Company "Assistant Minister of Industry and Head of the Delegation", and Engineer Hassan Al-Sayed, Director General of Product Protection at the Ministry of Economy and Industry, and Engineer Mukhles Shartouh, Director of the Southern Region at the Ministry of Economy and Industry and Cement Quality Control Manager, in addition to Engineer Hussam Al-Faouri, Director of the Central Region at the Ministry of Economy and Industry and General Manager of Hama Plant (1).
During the visit, the integrated cement production stages at Manaseer Cement Factory were showcased, starting from the extraction of raw materials through mining sites belonging to Manaseer Industrial Complex using advanced equipment and crushers, through the stages of manufacturing various types of cement products, technical inspections, and the approval of final products according to the highest international quality standards and technical specifications. It was also noted that the production stages of cement are subject to continuous monitoring through the company's laboratories, in addition to periodic monitoring by the Royal Scientific Society and the Jordanian Standards and Metrology Organization.
The cycle is completed with the products reaching the packaging and supply stages to distributors in the Jordanian and foreign markets, including the Syrian and Palestinian markets, where transportation operations are conducted through the Advanced Transport Company (Manaseer Transport), a sister company that possesses a modern fleet, clearly embodying full industrial integration from start to finish of the final product to the consumer.
During the visit, the delegation also inspected the quality control stages at the cement plant's laboratories, starting from the robotic laboratory, the first of its kind in Jordan, which operates entirely without human intervention, ensuring accuracy of results and minimizing human errors. The tour included visits to the chemical laboratory and the physical laboratory, where the delegation participated in practical tests on cement samples to test their durability and hardness according to the highest standards. The delegation also inspected the packaging department and got an insight into the workflow and operational efficiency of cement production and packaging.
At the conclusion of the visit, the head of the Syrian delegation and his companions expressed their great admiration for the advanced level of technical procedures, equipment, and devices used in cement inspection and production, praising the unique robotic laboratory in Jordan, which reflects Manaseer Industrial Complex's commitment to the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
In a related context, the delegation headed to the headquarters of the Manaseer Group in Amman, where a meeting was held with the Chief Executive Officer of the Manaseer Industrial Complex, Engineer Nasser Al-Alawnah, and the Vice President of Commercial Affairs, Engineer Khaled Al-Haribates, during which future plans for developing the cement industry and keeping up with the latest technical developments were reviewed, alongside discussing ways to meet the needs of the Syrian market, especially in the phase of reconstructing Syria.
It is noteworthy that Manaseer Industrial Complex is one of the companies affiliated with the Manaseer Group, founded in 2008 and started production in 2011. The complex offers high-quality products in several sectors including building materials, industrial minerals, fertilizers, and feed additives, according to the highest local, regional, and global standards.
