Khaberni - Stemming from the commitment of the Faculty of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Arab Amman University to enhance the scientific research skills of its students and to elevate the quality of academic theses, the faculty organized a training workshop titled: "Statistical Processing in Academic Theses", presented by: Dr. Mohammad Al-Karamneh and Dr. Feryal Al-Haj, faculty members at the Faculty of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Arab Amman University.
The workshop discussed the common statistical methods used in academic theses, how to choose the most appropriate statistical method in accordance with the study questions, objectives, and data nature. Dr. Al-Karamneh reviewed the theoretical side of the statistical methods, explaining the specific assumptions of each statistical method and the importance of verifying them before applying the analysis to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the results. Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Haj focused on the practical side of statistical analysis, by presenting practical examples about the mechanisms of conducting statistical analysis and how to interpret its results and link them to the study questions. At the end of the workshop, participants had the opportunity to raise their inquiries and discuss their ideas, where the workshop experienced significant interaction reflecting the students' and researchers' eagerness to hone their skills in statistical analysis and scientific research.
This workshop is part of a series of training programs organized by the Faculty of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Arab Amman University on a continuous basis, believing in its pioneering role in providing postgraduate students with the necessary research skills and enabling them to produce high-quality research that meets the requirements of academic and knowledge development. Participants expressed their appreciation for the content presented, noting the added value they gained and the practical guidelines provided by the workshop to aid them in their research journey.
