The Greater Amman Municipality announced the completion of a package of construction and development projects in its 22 areas, at a total cost of 3,042,927.487 dinars, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of the infrastructure and strengthen the public safety system in the capital.
The achievements included extensive work on the construction of sidewalks, curbs, medians, and traffic intersections with a total area of 56,467 square meters and at a total cost of 841,128.487 dinars within the 22 areas it oversees, aiming to provide a safe traffic environment and improve the road network in the capital.
The Municipality also completed maintenance work on sidewalks in all its areas, covering an area of 8,219.95 square meters, at a cost of 164,399 dinars, to ensure their sustainability and the safety of their users.
The Municipality worked on building retaining walls in various areas of Amman to protect streets from landslides, secure residential houses located on elevations, and address level differences between roads, with a quantity of 3,589 cubic meters at a cost of 897,250 dinars.
In addition, construction and maintenance of stairways covering an area of 3,984 cubic meters at a cost of 239,040 dinars were carried out to serve pedestrians, facilitate their movement, and provide a safe and comfortable environment.
Furthermore, the Municipality constructed and maintained culvert and box culverts in Amman areas, spanning a length of 11,130 meters at a cost of 901,110 dinars, to ensure the highest levels of efficiency in rainwater drainage and maintain the safety of citizens and their properties.
Through the implementation of these projects, which are in line with its strategic plan, the Amman Municipality aims to improve the quality of life of its citizens and enhance the level of construction services provided to them.
