Jordanian exports to Syria increase by 341

Khaberni  - Trade relations between Jordan and Syria have seen remarkable growth during the past ten months of this current year, driven by the resumption of trade activities and the increasing rate of exchange between the two countries.

According to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics, the value of national exports to the Syrian market has risen by approximately 341%, compared to the last year.

The value of national exports to the Syrian market rose to 203 million dinars, compared with 46 million dinars for the same period last year, marking an increase of approximately 341.3 percent, which reflects the expanded Syrian demand for Jordanian products.

On the other hand, the Kingdom's imports from Syria amounted to about 75 million dinars, compared to 51 million dinars during the same period last year, with a growth rate of 47.1%.

The total trade volume between Jordan and Syria during the past ten months of the current year reached 278 million dinars, compared to 97 million dinars for the corresponding period of the last year.

Jordanian exports to Syria are concentrated in the construction industries and building materials, including cement, iron, marble, tiles, paints, and pipes, in addition to electrical equipment, as well as food, agricultural, and chemical products.
