Khaberni - The College of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized an exceptional scientific workshop titled "Assessing Transporter and Enzyme-Mediated Drug-Drug Interactions (DDIs): From Bench to Guidance – Practical Approaches for Regulatory and Academic Applications," presented by Dr. Ayman Fawzi El-Kattan, president of El-Kattan PharmADME Consulting Services in the United States.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Alaa Al-Hasban, the Vice Dean Dr. Mohammad Al-Wahsh, and the Head of Pharmacy Department Dr. Wasan Jarar, in addition to a number of faculty members and professors from other Jordanian university pharmacy colleges, as well as students from the college.
The workshop aimed to explain the mechanisms of transporter and enzyme-mediated drug interactions, review practical methods for assessing them, and discuss how to utilize the results of lab studies in regulatory guidelines and academic applications, focusing on their importance in scientific research and drug development.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities carried out by the College of Pharmacy, in its commitment to enhance the research and practical aspects for the students, providing them with practical skills and advanced scientific knowledge in the field of pharmacy.
